Dr. Margaret Morrissey is president of the National Heat Safety Coalition, which is a division of the Korey Stringer Institute where she is also the director of occupational safety. Morrissey currently serves on the subcommittee for the ASSP A10.50 voluntary standard for heat stress and is the secretary of the newly formed thermal stress working group at AIHA. She recently authored a comprehensive consensus document in GeoHealth on heat safety prevention strategies to protect the health, safety, and productivity of U.S workers. This document provides 40 recommendations systematically scored by 51 experts across various disciplines related to occupational heat stress. She is a frequent speaker about heat safety and has given presentations at NSC, VPPPA, and AIHce, among other conferences.
