Earl worked as a safety professional for 12 years in high-hazard industries then transitioned to safety consulting and education for the past 25 years. As a safety professional, Blair led 2 of the earliest sites in the USA into OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) as STAR sites. He is an award-winning author and teacher with expertise in safety leadership and performance. He developed the business plan and online graduate program in safety management for Indiana University. Blair is a CSP, a Fellow of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), and the recipient of EHS Dailys (BLR) Lifetime Achievement in Safety Award in 2018.
