Mr. Russell is a 30-year veteran in the safety world, where he started as a police officer and currently serves as the Senior HSE Manager for Albany Engineered Composites in Salt Lake City, Utah. His safety journey has taken him from law enforcement and emergency medicine to radioactive and hazardous waste disposal, chemical weapons demilitarization, workforce housing in the oil field, the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command at Dugway Proving Ground, and now into the field of composite technology manufacturing. He holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in environmental management and occupational safety and health and is a Certified Safety Professional. He has received numerous awards for outstanding performance and excellence throughout his career, and his peers regard him as a strong advocate for workers. Mr. Russell believes that an organization's journey toward a safe working culture must be led by its leaders and that finding and retaining top talent is essential to achieving this goal.
