Description

Technology is increasingly being implemented to assist musculoskeletal safety in the workplace. Traditional ergonomic evaluations can be time-consuming, and if not done correctly, may not reduce risk exposure. However, thanks to the collaboration between human and machine through industry 4.0 technologies, it’s now possible to gather data from the real world and transmit it to the virtual world for decision-making. There are multiple technologies available to safety professionals that track and measure activity, injury, physical demand risks, and provide objective data for control implementation or workplace redesign, decreasing loads and opening roles to wider populations—safely.
