Safety Leadership Conference provides full-conference attendees the opportunity to attend an in-depth facility & safety tour, providing you with a first-hand view of leading safety programs in the show area. In 2022, we're taking you to some of the most exciting plants and facilities in and around the Cleveland area.

Innovation Center Manufacturing "Home of Goodyear Race Tires"12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Tour Description: Participants will see a tire manufacturing plant in full operation and tour the process for building Goodyears next generation of 18" NASCAR tires along with NHRA tires.  Several best practices in Safety and Health will be shared including topics on Ergonomics, using Near Misses to get ahead of more serious injuries, and examples of how employees can be engaged to drive successful safety processes with management support.

Safety Requirements: Safety footwear, secured hair, long pants required.  No jewelry is permitted to be worn in the plant.

Important Note: Photography is prohibited while inside the facility. Cell phone cameras will have security sticker placed over lens as individual photos are not permitted.

Special Tour Accommodations/Considerations: ID is required. Significant walking will occur. F406 Agreement form will need to be completed for any visitor to the Goodyear facility.

Goodyear Airship Operations - Wingfoot Lake Hangar 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Tour Description: Built in 1917, Wingfoot Lake Hangar is the Ohio home of the Goodyear Blimp. The hangar currently houses approximately 30 associates and serves as the home base for one of Goodyear's four blimps. Within the facility, all maintenance and operations are conducted for the northern region of the United States. Participants will see the safety protocols in place to ensure the safe operation of the Goodyear Blimp. They will also observe an associate driven continuous safety improvement process as well as ergonomic innovations that have significantly improved safety.

Safety Requirements: Closed toed and flat shoes required.

Special Tour Accommodations/Considerations: Dress is casual. No PPE required.

National Safety Apparel12:30 PM - 3:00 PM

Headquartered in Cleveland, OH, National Safety Apparel (NSA) is a leading USA manufacturer of protective apparel for the industrial safety worker.  Using the latest fabrics and technologies, NSA regularly introduces new and innovative products to enhance the safety apparel experience for workers.  For over 80 years, workers across the country have relied on NSA's safety clothing and quality craftsmanship.

The entire process of our apparel will be on display. From the receipt of the material, to the precision cuts, to the very last stitch. The entire process can be seen during the tour. Learn about who NSA is and how we are able to protect not only our employees but everyday workers throughout the country with our products.

Safety Requirements: Closed toed shoes required.

  • Transportation will be provided. Attendees are not allowed to transport themselves.
  • The tour hos companies and Endeavor Business Media reserve the right to deny access to a tour location to any person for any reason.

Access to one (1) safety tour is included with a full-conference registration to Safety Leadership Conference. Pre-registration is required. Safety tour spots are limited and are first-come, first served. The hosting company reserves the right to deny entry to their facility to any attendee for any reason.*

*In the case the hosting company removes you from a safety tour list, event management will do their best to place you on an alternate tour.
